It’s a new year and while the new year is often when we think about the future, it’s also a great time to think back and reflect on the past. One of the most exciting things to think back on is life’s “firsts.” It can be big “firsts,” like your first apartment, first job, first time behind the wheel (and first fender bender), maybe even your first kiss. Or it can be small experiences like the first time you tried chocolate cake or brussel sprouts. Good and bad, your “firsts” are something that you won’t forget.
And it’s not just us who have first-time experiences – our pets do, too! Meet Popoy, an adorable one-year-old Shih Tzu. This is his first time experiencing winter and snow!
Popoy’s owner Neshalyn says seeing Popoy enjoy his first snow experience made their day. He just loves to play in the snow, and he loves to eat it, too!
Neshalyn and Popoy are from the Philippines and have been in the United States for 9 months. Lincoln Heights is their first home here in the U.S. (Yay – another first!) This cute little pup loves playing in the dog park – he is fascinated by the things around him like watching the birds and squirrels and running around all the small trees. When he’s not busy playing outside, Popoy likes to play indoor games, including fetch and hide and seek. He’s also happy to just relax and stay in bed with Neshalyn. He’s happiest to lay his head on her lap whenever he sleeps.
