We think our communities are located in some of the best cities in the US—prime places to live, work and play.
Equity’s out-of-town employees often get the chance to explore these communities and experience all that their neighborhoods have to offer.
Join Seth as he details his recent visit to San Francisco:
Visiting from Chicago, I was struck by how close our San Francisco communities were to places where residents work, eat, and play. Here are some memorable sites near our properties:
One block to the east, we ate dinner at BDK restaurant. Nestled in the lobby of a Kimpton hotel and named after its founder, Bill Drennon Kimpton, BDK does drinks well and food even better.
Drink ingredients range from blood oranges to Japanese Whiskey to charred pineapple.
We shared appetizers, sides, and ‘nibbles,’ and I’d recommend them all: spicy broccoli and pancetta, steak tartar with quail egg, and Lamb Poutine.
Across Vista Montana Road is a beautiful new park, complete with a multi-use soccer, lacrosse, and football field.
With lush grass and surrounded by mountains, it’s an idyllic location to play or watch.
Residents never have to leave the friendly confines here. Kids can get a math or language lesson at Eye Level Learning Center while parents drop off their dry cleaning at In N Out Cleaners, then they can all meet for a coffee at Starbucks, without ever leaving the property!
Construction was still underway when I visited so here’s a digital rendering of the new community.
I was amazed at the size of the courtyard at our newest San Francisco development. It’s perfect for grilling with friends or using the WiFi to get work done. Across the street is Mission Bay Kids Park- one of the coolest playgrounds in the city.
With 1.2 acres, it is based on resident feedback and features a dozen different slides and playpens, plus a huge willow tree, perimeter nature walk and picnic plaza; sign me up!
