One of the easiest – and most fun – ways to make your home your own is to use your walls to create your own personal art gallery.
Use framed prints on the wall behind a bed to create an arrangement that doubles as a headboard. To achieve this grid-like look, use square black frames and hang them close together, leaving about 2-3 inches between the frame edges.
Books as Art
Round up a collection of worn, unreadable books with fun covers. Remove the covers and hang in frames for a literary-themed wall art installation. Or, if you want to keep the books intact, scan the covers and print on photo paper.
Art by Theme
Dress up your wall with variations on a theme. Pick a subject or motif you love and repeat it in a collection of paintings, prints, fabrics, and more. If you crave some continuity, use the same style of frame for all your pieces.
For a lighter alternative to a larger mirror, group several smaller mirrors together. The result is a more subtle – yet still stunning – wall arrangement. Use frameless mirrors in different shapes such as the ones pictured for a sophisticated look.
