Sprig Coming to Chicago
A few weeks back, I got an email announcing that Sprig was coming to Chicago. I had never heard of Sprig before, but I was very interested in the service after reading on their website “Fresh meals using wholesome ingredients, delivered in 15 minutes.”
Basically, Sprig focuses on quality food with convenient delivery times. They offer 4 entree options and the menu changes daily. (Important: They’re only open between 5-10PM on weekdays.)
Prior to the recent opening in Chicago, Sprig had only operated in San Francisco and Palo Alto. According to Sprig, they chose to expand to Chicago because “Chicago is one of the preeminent food cities in the world,” (aka we LOVE food).
My Experience with Sprig
Being a girl with her own preeminent appetite, living in one of the preeminent food cities in the world, I had to give Sprig a try. So last Wednesday, I had exactly 25 minutes to figure out dinner and eat it before running to my intramural softball game. With Sprig’s average delivery time of 15 minutes and my ability to quickly scarf food, it was a perfect opportunity to put Sprig to the test!
After scanning the 4 menu options, I decided on BBQ chicken with roasted potatoes and a cabbage salad. 13 minutes later, I had food on the table. 13 minutes!
Not only was it fast, it was delicious, too! My meal looked just like the picture:
For those of you in San Francisco, Palo Alto and Chicago — give Sprig a try! If my experience is any indication, you won’t be disappointed! And for those of you in other cities, Sprig allows you to submit your city as a possible next market on their homepage. Go for it!
