It really is the Most Wonderful Time of the Year! I share my love for Christmas with my family, especially my mom. My close friends know that my mom’s house is decked for Christmas by Halloween. Sure its cold outside and I have to scrape the snow off my car while I try not to slip on my driveway, but it almost doesn’t matter because of the warmth the season brings – family and friends gathering, the lights, the beautiful decorations and the food, of course the food! Let’s get into the holiday spirit! Check out some of my favorite things found through Pinterest and Buzzfeed to make your apartment festive and bright!
Reuse your leftover Halloween pumpkins to make snowmen.
Hang ornaments, berries or holiday garlands from a light fixture to transform it into a festive chandelier. Turn the living/dining room into your own winter wonderland. You can be traditional, whimsical, modern – sky’s the limit!
Use lights and ornaments everywhere!
and even more lights!
Don’t forget to invite the Elf on the Shelf into your homes. I know they’re for kids, but I’m seeing a lot of ideas from Buzzfeed of how you can have some fun with these elves.
Make Frosty Snowmen Pretzels! Check out the tutorial at HungryHappenings.com.
Dress up your chocolate cake or hot cocoa with some peppermint whipped cream as featured in iambaker.net.
